Coming Fall 2026 · United States
The school AI can't replace.
AI is already passing the exams your kid's school is preparing them for. Units is built for what AI can't do: defending your own decisions, producing real artifacts, and learning at your own pace. Your kid graduates with a portfolio alongside their transcript.

Create
Each course is designed around a real-world artifact — a campaign, an op-ed, a portfolio piece. Something the internet can judge, not just a teacher.
Defend
Students defend their choices in live review. AI can generate words. It can't defend decisions it didn't make.
Critique
Students evaluate AI work, find its weaknesses, and improve it. Learning what mediocre looks like is half the skill.
Why now?
Alpha School in Texas charges over $30,000 a year and took years to earn institutional accreditation. Alpha graduates apply to selective universities with portfolios instead of just transcripts — that's the playbook.
Units is building in that same category at a fraction of the price — under construction for US families now, with Canadian students already enrolled. Every assessment asks one question: did a human add value here, or could an AI have generated this?
We're opening US enrollment in Fall 2026.
The catalog
Mapped to UC a-g college-prep requirements and College Board AP exam paths. Students can bring the signals universities already understand: transcript, SAT/ACT, AP scores, and portfolio. Available Fall 2026.
36 courses across English, Math, Science, Social Studies, World Languages, Computer Science, and Units electives.
